UNIVERSITITES FACING GLOBALIZATION
(beyond 2000)

Requirements

• Being president of a Public or Private University or Institute or other Institution related to Higher Education.
• Confirm attendance before March 15, 1999 via e-mail to: estrateg@edg.net.mx
• Send a summary with the main ideas of your contribution regarding the role of institutions of Higher Education in the Globalization Process (two pages maximum), a brief CV and a passport size color picture via e-mail to: jsandria@mia.uv.mx (Closing date, April 9, 1999).

Prior to the summit

• The organizing committee will send a preliminary copy of the Declaration based on the contributions received by April 9, 1999.
• For one week after we have sent the proposal out to the presidents, we will be open to feedback, after which the Declaration will be formally accepted by the Organizing Committee.

At the summit meeting

• 5 minute presentation by each President, to emphasize specific points of view from their institutional perspective.
• Formal presentation of the Declaration to the public and press.
• Question - Answer Sesion.
• Official photo of attendants.
• The Declaration will be spread by all means within our reach, both national and international.
• Formal presentation of the Declaration to all National and International Organizations involved in Higher Education.
